OFFLINE:EVENTS - SIT UNCOMFORTABLY offline:events acts as a catalyst for the development of dialogue and imaginative ideas by supporting independent filmmakers, journalists, authors and artists who pursue innovation in form and/or content in the performing and visual arts, journalism, and in emerging fields. offline:events is committed to working in partnership with individuals and emerging organizations that generate provocative ideas and reframe the debate by facilitating a platform for promoting public engagement between cultures whose freedom of expression is endangered or denied. Specifically, offline:events arena of interest is in those who are unfortunately touched by war or conflict. These voices are forever changed and continue to feel the repercussions of conflict and repression in its vast forms throughout their lives.
